Eight companies to participate in Tartu city bus procurement
Eight offers were received in response to the Tartu city bus procurement for the years 2019-2029, with values ranging from €6.6 to 8.3 million.
Rein Haak, head of the Tartu city government's City Economy Department, told daily Õhtuleht that the city government had included conditions in the public procurement that all 64 buses must be new and run on gas.
Haak was unable to specify when the city of Tartu would determine the winner of the procurement, however the decision will take at least a week.
The city of Tartu's previous city bus procurement flopped, as a result of which Sebe, the current provider, was granted an additional two contract years.
The new contract is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2019.
