Finishing Lines: The Poetry of Hughes' and Hill's Last Decades
Someone once joked that to be a great post-war British poet your last name had to begin with 'H'. Two figures who qualify on both counts are Ted Hughes (1930-1998) and Geoffrey Hill (1932-2016). Another thing that links both men is that they were especially productive in their last years. This talk focuses on their final decades and includes some of their late work.
