Updated Tartu tourism website now available

29. juuni 2018 / Beta version of visittartu.com, Tartu’s official tourist information website, is now available to the public.
The website visittartu.com has been updated both functionally and visually. In comparison to the previous version, the new website boasts contemporary design, user-friendly search engine and navigation as well as usability on mobile devices.
Main updated features include a convenient map application, which enables saving preferences and favourites and using them later on, and an interface with the Kultuuriaken portal for information on cultural events in Tartu. As for the website’s visual design, it has been aligned with those of others websites on Tartu (www.tartu.ee and kultuuriaken.tartu.ee).
Currently, the website, including general information, and primary content and news sections, is available in Estonian, English and Russian and will be made available in Finnish in the next few days.
Development work continues until mid-summer when interfaces with Tripadvisor and Tartuphoto Instagram, a conference calendar, simplified options for entering and managing conference venues and a number of other secondary functionalities will be completed.

Mapping development tasks for visittartu.com began in December 2016, development work was launched in December 2017 and the final version in six languages is planned to be made available by the end of the year.
