Kursi School artists’ group XXX at the Tartu Art House

30. juuli 2018 / On Wednesday, 1 August at 3 p.m. the Kursi School artists’ group will open its 30th anniversary exhibition in the Tartu Art House.

Kursi School was established in spring 1988. The artists’ group was founded by Albert Gulk, Peeter Allik, Ilmar Kruusamäe and Priit Pangsepp. This spring marked the 30th anniversary of the group which makes it the oldest active artists’ group in Estonia. Over the years Marko Mäetamm, Reiu Tüür, Imat Suumann, Külli Suitso and Priit Pajos have also joined.

Kursi School has organised large group exhibitions in various countries including Italy (Venice, 2007), South Korea (Seoul, 1996), USA (New York, 2010) and our close neighbours Finland, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, etc. Works by the members of the group are in various museums and private collections in Estonia and abroad.

The exhibition will remain open until 26 August.

Tartu Art House (Vanemuise 26, Tartu, Estonia) is open Wed–Mon 12–18. Exhibitions are free of charge.
