First Master's Programme in Radiography commences in Tartu

5 сентября / Tartu Health Care College is going to open the first Master's Programme in Radiography in the Baltics.

The graduates are awarded a Master's Degree in Radiography, with specialisation in radiotherapy.

The Rector of the Tartu Health Care College, Ulla Preeden said that it is a remarkable moment in the history of the 208-year old college as it is the first international master`s programme and it enables to provide highest-quality eduction for health care specialist in the whole region.

The Head of Radiography and Biomedical Laboratory Science Department of Tartu Health Care College, Zinaida Läänelaid explained that the programme is unique in the Baltics, creating conditions for the graduates of basic radiography education and training to obtain profound knowledge, advanced skills and professional conduct in the specialist area, as well as the competence of supervised research in order to be employed at different levels of the health care system as well as in education and research institutions.

Studies are instructed in collaboration with Finnish Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Lithuanian Klaipeda University, University of Tartu and Tartu University Hospital as well the lecturers of the Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin.
