This department conducts national supervision on a range of issues:
- the condition of pavements;
- traffic supervision in regard to stopping and parking;
- ensuring access to shore paths by bodies of water open to public use;
- checking driving rights on regular public services;
- the fulfilment of public upkeep requirements;
- the fulfilment of requirements related to keeping cats and dogs;
- the conducting of extra-judicial proceedings in regard to misdemeanours;
- and supervision of paid parking.
