23 December / The City of Tartu’s information hotline, 1789, will operate on a special schedule during the holidays.

During the public holidays, the call centre will be closed and callers will be able to leave a message on the answering machine.

Mon. 23 December – the information hotline will be operating on a weekend schedule from 11 – 19
Tue. 24 December – the information hotline will be answered by an answering machine
Wed. 25 December – the information hotline will be answered by an answering machine
Thur. 26 December – the information hotline will be answered by an answering machine
Fri. 27 December – the information hotline will be operating on a weekend schedule from 11–19
Sat. 28 December – the information hotline will be operating on a weekend schedule from 11–19
Sun. 29 December – the information hotline will be operating on a weekend schedule from 11–19
Mon. 30 December – the information hotline will be operating on a weekend schedule from 11–19
Tues. 31 December – the information hotline will be operating on a weekend schedule from 11–19
Wed. 1 January – the information hotline will be answered by an answering machine

On 1 November of this year, major changes took place involving the city’s information hotline, with 1789, the former municipal maintenance hotline number, becoming the city’s general information number.
Maintenance messages can be left at the number 1789, information concerning the city government can be obtained, along with help regarding the Tartu Smart Bike Share system and questions relating to bus traffic.
Calls to the information hotline will be answered by the city government’s call centre employees as well as Tartu City Transport call operators.
 
The regular operating hours of the information hotline are 7–20 on working days and 11–19 on weekends.
