24 November / The Smart Bike Share system is preparing for the winter season. Nearly 220 conventional bikes have been fitted with studded tyres, so that they can be ridden safely even in slippery weather. Fewer and fewer electric bicycles can be seen on the streets, as they are gradually being moved into winter storage to await the spring season.

Bicycles can be rented from 90 bike share stations located around the city and in neighbouring rural municipalities. All bike share stations are equipped with information boards with detailed instructions on how to use the bicycles.

More information about the Smart Bike Share system can be obtained from the City of Tartu’s information telephone at 1789, which is open on working days from 08.00-18.00. The call centre is closed on weekends. Questions and problems can also be submitted by e-mail to the address info@ratas.tartu.ee or by sending a message via the Tartu Smart Bike Share mobile app.
