City offers discounts to the quickest to create a Tartu Smart Bike Share account

30 May / Even though Tartu Smart Bike Share will open on 8 June, people who are interested will be able to register as users starting at 13.00 on 1 June.

The city is offering discounts to those who are quickest to register.

People who register as users between 1–8 June will receive the right to ride for free for the first three months, and those who register from 9–30 June will receive the right to ride for free for one month. The right to ride for free means that they will receive a free bike share system season ticket, with which all rides for a period of up to 60 minutes are free. If you would like to ride for a longer period with the same bike, then an additional fee shall apply (€1/h).

User registration will begin at 13.00 on 1 June, on the website http://ratas.tartu.ee or via the mobile app Tartu Smart Bike.

Tartu Smart Bike Share will open at 12.00 on 8 June 2019, in the bike share station located by the Tartu Kaubamaja. Starting at 12.15 on that same day, it will be possible to borrow bicycles from all stations.

Tartu Smart Bike Share is comprised of 750 bicycles and 69 stations located across the city. A total of 510 bicycles are electric and the remaining 240 are standard bicycles.
