/ Following the completion of major reconstruction, Puiestee Street between Roosi and Jaama streets was reopened to traffic on the evening of 15 November. Additional minor works will be carried out on that section of street during the week.

Separate cycle tracks and pavements have been built to facilitate the movement of pedestrians and cyclists. A new cycle and pedestrian track runs behind the garages at Puiestee 110a.

New bus stop areas were built on the street, while existing and new pedestrian crossings were marked.

The Puiestee-Raatuse intersection received a traffic light and Raatuse Street was extended up to the access road to the Puiestee 112a registered immovable. A separate left turn lane was added to the intersection of Puiestee and Raatuse Street.

Landscaping on the street was tidied up and supplemented. New retaining walls were built at Puiestee 112a and 116. The street received seven new benches, 10 litter bins and a bicycle storage area.

Street lighting, water, sewerage, rainwater and other utilities were also upgraded.

Due to weather conditions, some road marking and landscaping work will be completed in the spring.

Puiestee Street was reconstructed by AS TREF and the total cost of the works was EUR 2.42 million.
